The Oregonian Features Willamette’s Efforts to Regulate Hen Housing Standards

We’re proud to share our support for hen care standards in The Oregonian’s opinion column featuring our very own, Willamette Egg Farms co-owner, Greg Satrum and CEO of the Humane Society of the United States, Wayne Pacelle.

Together, Greg and Wayne support the Egg Products Inspection Act Amendment, legislation supporting transition from conventional cages to enriched colony housing, nationally. Enriched colony systems provide hens with larger cages and the ability to engage in natural behaviors such as perching, nesting and scratching.
